ABOUT THE FORT WORTH PROMOTION AND DEVELOPMENT FUND

The Party in Fort Worth is an annual event benefiting The Fort Worth Promotion & Development Fund.  governed by a 13 member Board, The Promotion Fund invests funds to promote our city before regional, national and international cultural, business, sports and governmental organizations.  The Promotion Fund also provides resources for the development of local events, attractions and exhibits that enhance Fort Worth’s ability to recruit business and leisure visitors. The Party in Fort Worth is the signature fundraising event for The Fort Worth Promotion & Development Fund, which has an annual budget of approximately $350,000.

Since 1994 The Promotion Fund  has provided funding for many unique projects which help put Fort Worth in the spotlight and contribute to our diverse economy.  You will recognize many of our success stories:

 

  • The Promotion Fund has proudly assisted the world-renowned Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, which brings national and international exposure to Fort Worth.  The webcast has been viewed by tens of thousands of people in 132 different countries. 
Since 
  • The Promotion Fund  has supported the Fort Worth Zoo, which draws approximately one million visitors annually and has been ranked a Top Zoo by the Los Angeles Times, USA Today, and Family Life magazine.

Since 
  • In 2008, The Promotion Fund assisted in financing the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra Carnegie Hall Tour.
Since
  • Throughout 2009 and 2010, The Promotion Fund  implemented a comprehensive plan to showcase Fort Worth to dozens of national and international corporations, media writers and celebration events that will descend on North Texas during the February, 2011 Super Bowl.  Touchdown Fort Worth was the largest effort to date by the Promotion Fund and complimented our city’s selection as host of the AFC Champions during Super Bowl week.
Since
  • Recently, The Promotion Fund supported the opening celebrations for the newly renovated Seventh Street Bridge.
